Spalding High School is a selective grammar school for girls (with a co-educational sixth form) that prides itself on the strong sense of community among its pupils, and the special ‘feel’ as soon as you walk through the entrance.
The school has a working relationship with local Year 4 and Year 5 pupils through its primary liaison project. Younger pupils visit Spalding High School and access specialist rooms, resources and specific subject teachers to help broaden their education.
Spalding High School performs above the local authority average and the average for schools in England in all areas measured by the Department for Education. The school was last assessed by Ofsted in 2020 and was graded ‘Outstanding’. It is one of Ofsted's best-rated 16 secondary schools in the county.

Lincolnshire County Council is responsible for deciding which children to admit to Spalding HIgh School. If the number of qualifying applicants exceeds the 150 places available, the school’s Governing Body applies oversubscription criteria as per their admissions policy.
In 2020, the school had 317 applicants with 177 girls reaching the minimum score of 220 across both papers.
The deadline for applying for the 11 plus exam Spalding High School for September 2022 has now passed. However, parents will also need to apply for a school place on the Lincolnshire County Council website before 31st October.
